I love this place so far! I’ve only been twice. Both times I had the Asheville, although I wanted to try the Chapel Hill. The second time I went I got there a tad bit too close to closing and fryers were already off but the Hatteras is also very good!

My fiance and I are at Rise and Shine more than we would care to admit. Although we love getting a bacon, egg, and cheese with our coffee, I wanted to use this review to highlight the best part of this place - the team! Every week, we are greeted by Kirby, who learned our names after only a couple times of meeting us! She doesn't even need to take our order nowadays! She takes the time to get to know us and us - her, which has been really fun lately since we are both recently engaged! We look forward to chatting with her and the rest of the team, like Lily, every week! She is a true asset to the R&S Penn St location and makes the morning that much better!!! 3

I am a man who loves biscuits a little too much. This is the best biscuit I’ve ever had. I travel to Denver for work from out of town and I am constantly trying to find the closest place to stay to go into this place when it opens at 7 AM. I would literally take my children here to vacation just to eat these biscuits. It is worth flying to Denver from Europe to eat these biscuits. Please do yourself a favor and visit this place as soon as humanly possible.

Not sure you can rise above Rise and Shine for a tastier quick breakfast in a chill place. Service always friendly yet laid back. Hard to beat the biscuit of the day, flaky and flavorful, with or without egg, sausage, chicken or other options. Pablo’s coffee fresh, hot and good. Laid back vibe, open space with area artists on display. Gotta appreciate the Tarheel love too. Great start to any day!

Rise & Shine Biscuit Kitchen was on point! This was my first time here and it was truly enjoyable. Basically a build your own breakfast sandwich. Skip the fast food places and come here to have fresh food that is top notch. The Biscuit of the Day is a great go-to! Even if it sounds “weird” they know what they are doing, just get it. I didn’t- my buddy did- I was outta luck but thankfully they let me try theirs. It was delicious but I was hesitant because it sounded like it wouldn’t be good. They also have coffee and will know what type of drink to make if you prefer something from a chain- but it will taste way better! Their biscuit cinnamon rolls are AMAZING! much better consistency than a regular cinnamon roll that sits heavy- their biscuit dough makes it light and fluffy!

A cute little cafe with plenty of space to sit (indoor and outdoor) The staff are friendly and welcoming, the iced chai latte was great, and the biscuits are super fresh! Love the atmosphere of chatting, plants, music, and natural light :)

Chill spot, great biscuits, great coffee. Cappuccino was perfect. Employees are kind and fast. I have a lot of fam in North Carolina and I loved the cheerwine tin wall art and all the other NC related things! You can tell the owners are well versed Carolinians!
